Don't Just Follow Your Dreams

I'm not a famous actress as I used to dream during my childhood days; or a medical practitioner as my ambition whenever I was asked during those younger years; or a Certified Public Accountant (I am now! as of October 2012) as my mom dreamed that I would be after I graduated from college; or a successful employee/worker as I used to foresee myself when I started my journey with my chosen career. All these failures or frustrations that I have since I was a kid until the present time became one of my greatest ordeal.

However, when my mind becomes totally blank and forgets the thought of all these failures, I still wanted to be someone that I wanted to be..I wanted to do something great and something different that would make me a better person. I continuously dream that I can achieve something despite of all my weaknesses and shortcomings; I still believe that I could still make my family proud someday. I thought that this time might not be my time yet, but it made realize that dreaming is totally different from believing. The state of mind when you just made yourself dream is different when you trust yourself and you started to believe that you can achieve your goals in life.

Bittersweet Life

I've been experiencing a lot of difficulties lately...particularly in dealing with my domestic problems...I've experienced a lot of failures and frustrations in life...but this kind of problem gives me heart attack!!! I have a lot of emotional baggages lately...with a lot of emotional stress that slowly kills me...I always wish that I will have a wonderful family...a family that you could always rely on especially in times of crises...but the crisis is within my family!!!

There are a lot of troubles that I caused in as far as raising my child and with a failed marriage...and even my sister's career is being ruined...my mother is not in good shape...my father is not in good terms with my mother...my sister and mother hates my father as well...my daughter is affected with the family fight...while I can't do anything...and denies that there is trouble...I'm afraid to face everything at this point in time...I'm already experiencing a lot of troubles with my personal life as well...I'm hopeless!!! What should I do to fix or mend everything...how will I put everything back to normal state? Whew! I don't know the answers...and I'm really disappointed, frustrated, and hopeless!!! Please help me!!!!

Milk Tea, Anyone?

Long before the craze on milk tea started in the Philippines, I'm already a fan of a Taiwan-brand Milk Tea, that is, 'Mine Shine'...a bottle of this milk tea already makes my day complete. I also tried the Zagu's Pearl Milk Tea or Chowking's Nai Cha...

However, when my cousin Gina (who happens to be an addict too...) introduced me to the new breed of milk teas...whoa! I never stopped craving for it every now and then...from Serenitea, to Bubbatealicious, to Cha Time, to Gong Cha...I almost tried them all...:) I just loved the Gong Cha Winter Melon Milk Tea...then Serenitea's Hokkaido Milk Tea...and Cha Time's Milk Tea...:)

Pearl milk tea is my personal favorite...nothing could change my cravings for this type of tea...that's why, whenever I visit the mall...a cup of my fave milk tea should not be missed!!!! I'm a MILK TEA ADDICT!

Are You Afraid of Heights?

A Tagaytay trip won't be complete without trying the ZIPLINE...at the Picnic Grove...we visited the place last August 20 and we really enjoyed the view of Taal with the lush green leaves covering the whole area and the fresh air, of course. Not to mention the heights...which is 300ft off the ground, gosh!!!!

Well, at first...I thought I won't be able to make it...but when my father and I gave it a try and as I faced my fears...I'm glad I made it...but of course, nothing could be better if you'll share the experience with your father...my first zipline experience is simply the best!!!

My Grand Vacation

My friend Rhea and I took our 2011 summer vacation from July 14 to 17. A 4-day and 3-night stay wasn't enough because of the surprising impressions I have with this place. This is the city where you can find crocodiles, yummy seafoods, island hopping, and more.

I never thought that once in my life...I was able to visit this island which I simply called 'paradise'!!! Yes, it's at Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (PPS)...this is where you will find the simple life...but with all the treasures of the world! I really can't forget the day I visited this wonderful place...and I really wanted to be back soon...or even live there for the rest of my life...:)

Meet the Blogger

I'm MEILIN...you can also call me Mei, Lin, Mei-Mei, Mei Ling, Melen, My-my, etc...some of my friends call me Kubots, Kubota, Intsik, Insek, Indian, Tabs, Tabaching, Baching, etc...any pet name or nickname that you prefer to call me will do...anything that your heart desires will always be acceptable...and it's no big deal. I'm a married woman without a husband (at present!)...but with a very smart daughter...who's not on my side...well, my life is quite complicated, don't you think?

I'm a Chinese mestiza...with chinky eyes as a proof...I'm petite/short by height...but with large (extra large!) body-built...with fair complexion...short hair (now!)...protruding chin...with obvious/high cheek bones that simply shows when I smile...I'm an outgoing person who loves to travel especially at the beach...I also love to cook delicious food...and share them...I couldn't live without PC, CP, MP4, digital camera and other gadgets...I'm a fan of Taiwanese and Korean dramas...ballad, acoustic and easy listening music are my fave...I prefer to eat Chinese, Filipino, and some Japanese cuisine but the best part will always be the dessert-ice cream, cakes, leche flan, etc (yum!)...a milk tea addict...coffee with fresh milk taste good as well! Shopping is my fave past time...when I have the funds...movies...scrub with massage at the spa also makes my day! I love to wear comfy clothes-jeans, shorts, shirts, blouses, sandals and sneakers...not fond of wearing make-up/cosmetics...but I'm a frequent user of VS Mist (whether original or not!)...and Bench fragrances. I'm not into sports but I once tried badminton and basketball...just free playing without any rules.

I'm a very flexible person...I will try to bend a little to meet the someone else's personality/preferences...but I'm also terrible in dealing with people with hard-to-get attitudes! You may have an initial impression of a very snobbish person...however, when you got to know me...you will find a different person in me...I love to give advice to friends or listen to their agonies...but I can't personally handle my own problems when the tough times are here...I usually seek for some of their time to listen...then when I was able to pour-out my thought and feelings, it somehow eases the pain...my life is full of twists and turns...but it makes me a stronger person to face all the challenges! Nothing can stop me for everything I desire...and I will always do my best to achieve my goals! That's me...That's MEILIN!!!!:)
